Dr. Dragan Kostic

Dr. Dragan Kostić is the R&D Director for Mechatronics at the ASMPT Center of Competency (CoC) in Beuningen (The Netherlands). He holds PhD in Control technology and robotics received in 2004 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands). His professional career incorporates different positions at both academia and in industry. For instance, he was a research fellow for control technology and robotics at the Embedded Systems Institute in Eindhoven, assistant professor for robotics at the Eindhoven University of Technology, and student supervisor at the Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands). He also worked for several companies, such as ASML, FEI, VDL-ETG, and Océ, either as their employee or on consultancy basis in the fields of mechatronics, robotics, metrology, modelling, simulation, and mechatronics systems architecting. Since 2017 he leads R&D activities at the ASMPT CoC on the problems of digital twin building, simulation, control technology, machine health management, mechatronics systems architecting, as well as mechatronics- and embedded systems development.
